1st Part of a Note Series on Moses and Aaron, the Sacrificial Offerings of the Kitab, and authentic substitutions.

Moses and Aaron are Sultans (Authorities) that literally came from the Presence of God. A person named Kevin Cauley wrote an article that I will leave a pdf link to rather than his website. You might think that I am using this to boast or brag about myself, or mock this person...that is not it, I look at it as an opportunity to reflect on the Kalima and think about what happened, and then testify a kind of rebuttal. How I tried to say it.

As for a woman, it is important for a man (such as myself) to be able to divorce a women that they are not compatible with; or where differences are irreconcilable "in writing". It should not be baseless or groundless accusations, nor because he saw  a woman better looking. Issues of substance can be adultery; pattern of breaking of other major Laws; patterns of abuse; drug addiction; etc.  Sometimes it is even necessary to divorce (or disavow) bad ideas (such as a certain recreational area in Connecticut named after a dark kingdom; other similar naming conventions on natural landmarks in our country; or same-sex marriage legislation), and some that were brought forth in this article certainly merit disavow proceedings.

The "Pen and Paper" are beautiful tools...beautiful gifts.

It is unrealistic in today's times to deny someone the right to divorce someone or something in writing. I will attach a pdf of the article that I am reflecting on. The reason that I am attaching the pdf and not the link to the article is because the page has some active content in the script. It overrides the article with an email grab and some people, like myself, don't like to click anything on webpages like that, so to stay clear of malware, etc. Pretty much this blog post is about this article in this attached pdf. To create personal separation from the things that I see in it that are tremendous errors. Rather than the suggestions in this pdf, I will go with the list of passages in the next paragraph and improve in the areas of my other suggestions below.

Did-moses-give-the-rules-for-divorce-without-gods-authority_-copy.pdf

My thoughts upon reading the article went immediately to: Leviticus 1-7; Leviticus 16; Leviticus 17; Leviticus 22; Leviticus 24:17; the Book of Ezekiel (were it is prophesied the re-institution of the Sacrificial Offerings), the Book of Malachi, along with these 2 passages of the Gospel. Prophets Moses and Aaron were Sultans or Authorities that came from the very Presence of God (in the form of the (Divine Presence) Shechinah (Hbr) or Sakinah (Arb) that hovered over the Atonement Cover of the Ark of the Covenant) The God Adonai spoke to them directly. Thus, they did have the authority to reveal the Torah and all of the passages in it. The article referenced the sacrifice of the Messiah (as) and I am not doubting that the practice of the worship of the Messiah may be an issue. In these cases it becomes necessary to reflect on the Torah and Quran regarding Ordinances on Sacrificial Offerings and what kinds of animals are lawful for Sacrifice to Allah; What, When, How, Who, Where; Why, etc. Also, would such a thing be considered a human sacrifice as in the days of the Mayans and Aztecs. Please reference the other above mentioned passages, as well, from your own copies of the Bible.

If thou fearest treachery from any group...

We have been clearly told want is lawful for sacrifice. However, the Temple doors have been temporarily shut. It was not that Sacrificial Offerings as a concept did not please God, but, it was as spoken in Malachi, "I wish someone would shut the Temple doors to these worthless sacrifices. Think about it, blind, defective, mutilated animals being offered to Me. Try offering that to your governor and see how much he likes it." (to paraphrase). Sacrifices have been offered since the beginnings of man's experience on Earth. Abel and Cain offered Sacrifices (it was accepted of one and not the other); and Abraham offered Sacrifices to God (the ram was a substitute for the Sacrifice of one of his sons). So, it was the fact that the grain offerings were not from the choicest grain, that the animals were defective, blind and mutilated and the incense offerings were a stench to His Smell. He delights in the righteous lifestyle that produces choice offerings, He does not delight in the unrighteous lifestyle that produces unworthy offerings to Him. This is different than the pdf's view that animal sacrifices were not pleasing to God. There was some important additional info that was left out of that conclusion. No one knows when God will re-institute the sacrifices in Jerusalem. The only 2 places where an Altar can be built and Sacrifices to the God of Abraham can be offered are in Jerusalem and Mecca. Until the Sacrificial Offerings are re-instituted people are encouraged to offer as offerings to God:

  • Prayers
  • Charity
  • Fasting
  • Testimony about the verses of God and His Sacred Names
  • Holy pilgrimage to Jerusalem or Mecca
Some ways to connect to the Holy Spirit for repentance to God; testimony to God; and petition to God are listed below, along with the the many Names of God in Hebrew and 99 Names of God in Arabic.

Some approaches to the Holy Spirit. Ruhul Quddus.

This screen capture below is the recreational area, in Connecticut, that I referenced above. Aoudhubillahi.
A Connecticut Office of Tourism photo found on the Travel Channel website. Hard to believe that they named that place that. Praying that myself and family and friends stay far away from that place. May God be eternal refuge. May it departeth from concern, and may concern be for the Lord and His Holy Prophets. Though, still must beware. Amen. Link to Part 2.

The Kalima is Important to the Physical and Spiritual Existence of the Place of Worship

This drawing references the winged horse that carried Nabi Muhammed (saws) from the Mosque in Jerusalem to Jannah. Events that took place in Jerusalem form a very significant structure of the study of topics of the Holy Quran itself.

The title of this piece is “The Place of Worship” in the Holy Quran and in the Holy Bible.
I am gonna present to you a series of statements obtained from the Holy Scriptures. When you think about this you will think it is cool for what you are holding in your hands. But, if someone does not think about it they'll probably say “This guy...I don't know what to say about him.”

1. If the Messenger = Lamp Spreading Light
2. And the 7 Lampstands with burning flames = 7 Spirits of God
3. And the 7 Lampstands = the 7 Temples
4. And the Word = a Lamp
5. And the Messenger = a Lamp
6. And the Messenger = with the Spirit from God
7. And the Messenger = Temple/Mosque or Place of Worship
8. And the Messenger = Word
9. And the Word = Messenger
10. And the Word = the Spirit of God
11. And the Word = Lamp
12. Then the Word = Place of Worship or Mosque/Ancient Houses of God

1. If the Messenger = Lamp Spreading Light
Holy Quran:
O Prophet! Truly We have sent thee as a Witness, a Bearer of Glad Tidings, and Warner,-
And as one who invites to God’s (grace) by His leave, and as a lamp spreading light. ~ Surahtul Ahzab Ayats 45-46

2. And the 7 Lampstands with burning flames = 7 Spirits of God
Holy Bible:
And from the Throne came flashes of lightning and the rumble of thunder. And in front of the Throne were 7 Lampstands with burning flames. They were the 7 Spirits of God (Eli). ~ Revelations 4:5

3. And the 7 Lampstands = the 7 Temples
Holy Bible:
This is the meaning of the 7 Stars you saw in my right hand and the 7 gold lampstands: The 7 Stars are the Angels of the 7 Temples, and the 7 lampstands are the 7 Temples. ~ Revelations 1:20

4. And the Word = a Lamp
Holy Bible:
Your Word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. ~ Psalm 119:105
[This is speaking about paying attention to the Word of God.]
Then Jesus asked them, “Would anyone light a lamp and then put it under a basket or under a bed to shut out the light? Of course not. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light will shine. Everything that is now hidden or secret will eventually be brought to light. Anyone who is willing to hear should listen and understand. And be sure to pay attention to what you hear. The more you do this, the more you will understand and even more besides. To those who are open to my teachings, more understanding will be given. But to those who are not listening, even what they have will be taken away from them. ~ Mark 4:21-25
[This is speaking about paying attention to the Word of God.]

5. And the Messenger = a Lamp
Holy Quran:
O Prophet! Truly We have sent thee as a Witness, a Bearer of Glad Tidings, and Warner,-
And as one who invites to God’s (grace) by His leave, and as a lamp spreading light. ~ Surahtul Ahzab Ayats 45-46
Holy Bible:
Then Jesus asked them, “Would anyone light a lamp and then put it under a basket or under a bed to shut out the light? Of course not. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light will shine. But to those who are not listening, even what they have will be taken away from them. ~ Mark 4:21-25
[This is speaking about paying attention to the Word of God.]

6. And the Messenger = with the Spirit from God
Holy Quran:
We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a succession of apostles; We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit. Is it that whenever there comes to you an apostle with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride?- Some ye called impostors, and others ye slay! ~ Surahtul Baqarah Ayat 87
Holy Bible:
John 14:17 (NLT)
He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.
John 14:26 (ASV)
But the Comforter, [even] the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you.
John 15:26 (YLT) `And when the Comforter may come, whom I will send to you from the Father -- the Spirit of truth, who from the Father doth come forth, he will testify of me;

7. And the Messenger = >Temple/Mosque or Place of Worship
Holy Bible:
Matthew 12:6
I tell you that something greater than the temple is here.
Revelation 21:22
I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
Psalm 118:22
The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;

8. And the Messenger = a Word
Holy Quran:
Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! God giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to God; ~ Surahtul Ali Imran Ayat 45
While he was standing in prayer in the chamber, the angels called unto him: "God doth give thee glad tidings of Yahya, witnessing the truth of a Word from God, and (be besides) noble, chaste, and a prophet,- of the (goodly) company of the righteous." ~ Surahtul Ali Imran Ayat 39
Comment 41. by Abdullah Yusuf Ali in his translation of the Meaning of the Holy Quran:
Those messages came as inspirations
To Muhammad as the need arose
On different occasions and in different places
He recited them, and they were recorded
By the Pen; they were imprinted on his heart
And mind, and on the memory
Of his loving disciples: as the body
Of Sacred Scriptures grew, it was arranged
For purposes of public prayer and reading:
This is the Book, or the Reading, or the Quran
Additional information:
And Prophet Muhammed (Nabi Muhammed) (saws) is known as the Quran walking.

9. And a Word = The Messenger (same as above just opposite order)
Holy Quran:
Behold! the angels said: "O Mary!

Additional information:

10. And the Word = the Spirit of God
Say, the Holy Spirit has brought the revelation from thy Lord in Truth, in order to strengthen those who believe, and as a Guide and Glad Tidings to Muslims. ~ Surahtul Nahli Ayat 102

11. And the Word = Lamp
Holy Quran:
And thus have We, by Our Command, sent inspiration to thee: thou knewest not (before) what was Revelation, and what was Faith; but We have made the (Qur’an) a Light, wherewith We guide such of Our servants as We will; and verily thou dost guide (men) to the Straight Way,- ~ Surahtul Shura Ayat 52

If thou bring them not a revelation, they say: "Why hast thou not got it together?" Say: "I but follow what is revealed to me from my Lord: this is (nothing but) lights from your Lord, and Guidance, and mercy, for any who have faith." ~ Surahtul Araf Ayat 203

It was We who revealed the Torah (to Moses): therein is Guidance and Light. By its standard have been judged the Jews, by the prophets who bowed (as in Islam) to Allah.s will, by the rabbis and the doctors of law: for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah.s book, and they were witnesses thereto: therefore fear not men, but fear me, and sell not my signs for a miserable price. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) Unbelievers. ~ Surahtul Maidah Ayat 44

And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein is Guidance and Light, and Confirmation of the Torah that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.
Let the people of the Gospel judge by what Allah hath revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) those who rebel. ~ Surahtul Maidah Ayat 46-47

Holy Bible:
Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. ~ Psalm 119:105

12. Then the Word = Place of Worship or Mosque/Ancient Houses of God
Holy Quran:
Verily He Who ordained the Qur’an for thee, will bring thee back to the Place of Return. Say: "My Lord knows best who it is that brings true guidance, and who is in manifest error." ~ Surahtul Qasas Ayat 85

Abdullah Yusuf Ali Commentary on Surahtul Qasas Ayat 85:
That is: order in His wisdom and mercy that the Quran should be revealed, containing guidance for conduct in this life and the next, and further ordered that it should be read out and taught and its principles observed in practice. It is because of this teaching and preaching that the holy Prophet was persecuted, but as Allah sent the Quran, He will see that those who follow it will not eventually suffer, but be restored to happiness in the Place of Retum, for which see next note.
* Place of Return: (1) a title of Makkah; (2) the occasion when we shall be restored to the Presence of our Lord. It is said that this verse was revealed at Juhfa, on the road from Makkah to Madinah, a short distance from Makkah on the Hijrat journey. The Prophet was sad at heart, and this was given as consolation to him. If this was the particular occasion, the general meaning would refer the Place of Return to the occasion of the Resurrection, when all true values will be restored, however they may be disturbed by the temporary interference of evil in this life.
* Allah knows the true from the false, and if we are persecuted for our Faith and attacked or spoken ill of because we dare to do right, our surest refuge is an appeal to Allah rather than to men.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali Commentary on Surahtul Baqarah Ayat 129:
v.129 : How beautiful this prayer is, and how aptly it comes in here in the argument! Such Paganism or star-worship or planet-worship as there was in Abraham’s time was first cleared out of Mecca by Abraham. This is the chief meaning of "sanctification" or purification in ii. 125, although of course physical cleanliness is (in physical conditions) a necessary element of purification in the higher sense. Abraham and his elder son Ismail then built the Kaba and established the rites and usages of the sacred city. He was thus the founder of the original Islam (which is as old as mankind) in Arabia. As becomes a devout man, he offers and dedicates the work to God in humble supplication, addressing Him as the All-Hearing and the All-Knowing. He then asks for a blessing on himself and his progeny generally, both the children of his eldest-born Ismail and his younger son Isaac. With prophetic vision he foresees that there will be corruption and backsliding in both branches of his family: Mecca will house 360 idols, and Jerusalem will become a harlot city (Ezekiel xvi. 15), a city of abomination. But the light of Islam will shine, and reclaim the lost people in both branches and indeed in all the world. So he prays for God’s mercy, addressing Him as the Oft-Returning Most Merciful. And finally he foresees in Mecca an Apostle teaching the people as one "of their own", and in their own beautiful Arabic language; he asks for a blessing on Muhammad’s ministry, appealing to the Power and Wisdom of God.

Another example of the idolatry that results in Allah leaving, is here in what took place in Jerusalem:
7 The LORD said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place where I will rest my feet. I will live here forever among the people of Israel. They and their kings will not defile my holy name any longer by their adulterous worship of other gods or by honoring the relics of their kings who have died. 8 They put their idol altars right next to mine with only a wall between them and me. They defiled my holy name by such detestable sin, so I consumed them in my anger. 9 Now let them stop worshiping other gods and honoring the relics of their kings, and I will live among them forever. 10 “Son of man, describe to the people of Israel the Temple I have shown you, so they will be ashamed of all their sins. Let them study its plan, 11 and they will be ashamed of what they have done. Describe to them all the specifications of the Temple—including its entrances and exits—and everything else about it. Tell them about its decrees and laws. Write down all these specifications and decrees as they watch so they will be sure to remember and follow them. 12 And this is the basic law of the Temple: absolute holiness! The entire top of the mountain where the Temple is built is holy. Yes, this is the basic law of the Temple. ~ Ezekiel 43:7-12

That although the physical existence of the Mosque and Temples were in Mecca and Jerusalem, when the Word of God no longer prevails in the House and idols and abominations take over, then the Place of Worship really no longer is existing though it is there physically for the eyes to see, spiritually it is something very different. This is something that had happened after Prophets Abraham and Ismail built the Kaaba, some time later it fell to 360 idols, as well as, in the Temples of Jerusalem. The Kalima of Allah (swt) is important to the (physical and spiritual) existence of the Place of Worship.

Holy Quran:
Behold. We gave the site to Ibrahim (saws), of the Sacred House, (Saying); Associate not anything (in worship) with Me; and sanctify My House for those who compass round, or stand up, or bow down, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer) ~ Surahtul Hajj Ayat 26

Surahtul Ikhlas (The Chapter of the Purity)
Say: He is God, the One and Only;
God, the Eternal, Absolute;
He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
And there is none like unto Him. ~ Surahtul Ikhlas Ayat 1-4

All of this was said to reach the conclusion that, 12. Then the Word = Place of Worship or Mosque/Ancient Houses of God.

Are minor infringements in Faith more enormous than the Idolatry of Ancient Greece and Rome?

The Romans
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
[30:1]
A. L. M.
[30:2]
The Roman Empire has been defeated-
[30:3]
In a land close by; but they, (even) after (this) defeat of theirs, will soon be victorious-
[30:4]
Within a few years. With God is the Decision, in the past and in the Future: on that Day shall the Believers rejoice-
[30:5]
With the help of God. He helps whom He will, and He is exalted in might, most merciful.
[30:6]
(It is) the promise of God. Never does God depart from His promise: but most men understand not.

I am going to try to give a perspective on something. Below I have placed a list of the ancient dieties worshiped by the Ancient Greeks and Romans. The reason that I placed them there was because if we look at the Chapter of the Romans Verse 2 above, Allah said that the Romans were defeated. This could mean a particular battle, but it could also mean that it suffered some loss or ruin. The next Ayat Allah (swt) says, that they will soon be victorious and it follows with that it is a Decision in the past and in the future. It could be that something that God intended was for the Romans to be part ruin and part successful or to experience a cyclical nature of that. It is my speculation that the “Ruin” comes from the pagan, hedonistic, corrupt past that had previously infiltrated religion and government with the Ancient Romans and Greeks.
Thus, the Romans have a gift from God, who is Allah, in the past and the future concerning victories and losses...successes and ruins.
On that day the believers shall rejoice. What I have noted that contemporary Romans have been exceptional (among the top in the world) in are areas of: Coffee or Cafes, Restaurants and Cuisine, Racing and other Auto manufacturing, Small motorized boats manufacturing like little sports cars used to get around the waterways in Italy, Architecture, Olive Oil cultivation and production, Clothing and Fashion, Shoe making, Engineering, Music, Paintings and Arts, Racing and other Bicycle manufacturing, Agricultural techniques...
The reason that I mention this is because of the Hadith about the 3 knots, and the Hadith about the closer than blood:
Abu Huraira narrates that Allah's Apostle said, "Shaytan puts three knots at the back of the head of any of you if he is asleep. On every knot he reads and exhales the following words, 'The night is long, so stay asleep.' When one wakes up and remembers Allah, one knot is undone; and when one performs ablution, the second knot is undone, and when one prays (salah) the third knot is undone and one gets up energetic with a good heart in the morning; otherwise one gets up lazy and with a mischievous heart."” ~ Sahih Bukhari: 2.243
Hadeeth No. 1913 - Narrated Ali bin Al-Husain: Safiya, the wife of the Prophet told me that she went to Allah's Apostle to visit him in the mosque while he was in Itikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan. She had a talk with him for a while, then she got up in order to return home. The Prophet accompanied her. When they reached the gate of the mosque, opposite the door of Um-Salama, two Ansari men were passing by and they greeted Allah's Apostle . He told them: Do not run away! And said, "She is (my wife) Safiya bint Huyai." Both of them said, "Subhan Allah, (How dare we think of any evil) O Allah's Apostle!" And they felt it. The Prophet said (to them), "Satan reaches everywhere in the human body as blood reaches in it, (everywhere in one's body). I was afraid lest Satan might insert an evil thought in your minds." ~ Sahih Al Bukhari Book 33
They run counter to: The Quranul Kareem says at Surahtul Qaf Ayat 16, "It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein."
And in addition, Allah (swt) says, "For over My servants no authority shalt thou have, except such as put themselves in the wrong and follow thee." ~ Surahtul Hijr Ayat 42.
And, "No authority has he over those who believe and put their trust in their Lord. His authority is over those only, who take him as patron (Waliy) and who join partners with God (Mushrikun). Surahtul Nahl Ayats 98-99.
Those Hadiths could cause a light infringement to become a devastation that a person never recovers from. Sometimes a muslim needs to build up momentum in Faith over time. This Hadith could wipe out momentums by this assigning a of a Shaitan to a muslim for something like that. Sometimes Shaitans require Divine intervention to get free from. That means Allah sending Angels (Mikael, Jibreel, Israfeel), or Prophets, or Holy men and women. There are a couple of Hadiths that pronounce a similar curse of assigning a Shaitan that we in Al-Islam must be concerned about. Another, off the top of my head, is the Sahih Bukhari Hadith about the Shaitan reaching everywhere in the human body as the blood does. (No. 1913, Book 33). These Hadiths are giving too much license to Shaitans over muslims. We should not be requiring exorcists when we have Surahtul Nahli Ayats 98-99 which says, "And, "No authority has he over those who believe and put their trust in their Lord. His authority is over those only, who take him as patron (Waliy) and who join partners with God (Mushrikun)." And Allah (swt) is Most Wise. Those Hadiths make for peculiar words of salvation. Those Hadiths could cause sicknesses and ruin that are worse than attempting to climb out of a Roman ruin, who Allah (swt) turned to with an agreement, in spite of their pagan past. May the eternal peace and blessings of Allah (swt) be upon Nabi Muhammed and the righteous amongst his family and following.

In light of the ruin that such a condition could cause of a Shaitan being assigned to muslims we have to see that this makes a mild infringement more enormous than the paganism among Ancient Greeks and Romans. Because even they got an agreement with Allah that there would be a cycle of ruin and success or losses and gains.
One of the main points that I was trying to get at about the Romans was that inspite of the paganism of the past, Romans past and present were/are very productive. They created many feats in engineering and architecture. Many of us do not have a history in paganism in Islam. But, are exceeded.  But then again if any of us were to transport back to the times of the Roman Empire and meet with ancestors in whatever part of the world then there is a chance that some of them may have been pagans. These types of hadiths manifest things in the Spirit that impede...they are harsh, unjust, devastating, ruinous, debilitating and disabling. I wanted to show the type of motorized boat that they have engineered for their waterways. This is not a renounciation of the next life for the things of the dunya. I understand this. I also understand that we have a duty to be productive and fulfill obligations. But, in addition, to smashing successes in coffee, cars, fashion, shoes, architecture (just about all industries) the contemporary Romans are quite successful with selling these little boat yachts...and they cost a lot of money. Thus in addition to taking a lesson from the Bees...we could take a lesson from the Romans. May have to click the link the owner of this YouTube vid only allows viewing of this on YouTube.

A Shaitan blowing knots upon a muslim or mumin that may be dragging their feet on some days, while attempting to build up momentum in their ibadah and productive life is harsh and unjust. The Sheikh and others who use this hadith might say well we are pronouncing it upon those who are inactive about a certain thing. But, I respond with 2 examples that I will list here of how I respond to those who were inactive about certain things with me among the wealthy brothers and sisters. First I represented this African American Muslim manufacturer of botanicals soaps, shampoos, hair oils, body milks and body butters. I will blur the image and not disclose their name because I no longer work with them and no longer endorse them. But, I was attempting to contact our wealthy Arab importers/exporters and distributors for the sale of 30 – 20 ft containers of a particular extremely pure and fragrance free soap that could have been used for the Hajj seasons. I got a lot of “No's” and it was extremely difficult to find ease and facility in the process of making contacts.

Another time it involved tee-shirts. I needed to move 100,000 teeshirts. I was told, “We are not interested.”. I did not pronounce a curse upon them for being inactive about a matter.

25. Between the middle ages and modern era Europe underwent a massive intellectual and  cultural revolution called the Renaissance Era. It prompted the exploration of:
        a. Science
        b. Arts
        c. Relation between man and Allah. How they saw themselves in relation to God.
        d. The Renaissance and the scientific revolution that followed were critical stages in the development of Europe.
        e. The origins of the Renaissance is generally believed to lie in Italy. The renewed interest in the Classics had a huge impact on Art and Culture. But the foundations of the Renaissance were layed much earlier but not in Italy but in a town called Toledo in Islamic Spain.
        f. 1085 AD. When Christian Spain seized control of Toledo from Muslim Spain it was a. Peaceful transition. The Muslim citizens were allowed to remain inhabitants and the Mosques were not disturbed. The city that emerged accommodated both Christians and Muslims. Spain at this time is a paradox on one hand tensions between Muslims and Christians were becoming unbearable on the other hand there was a hugely beneficial intellectual evolution that is occurring because Christians and Muslims are living side by side. These intellectual discourses from the libraries of Islamic Spain is at the foundation of the Renaissance Era in Europe. Because when Toledo fell to the Christians it's doors were open to intellectuals and travelers all over Europe. They mixed with the Muslims in the city learning their language and reading their books. Many of the adventurers came from England. 1:14:52 In the late 1100s AD an Englishman known as Daniel of Morely tremendously insulted the intelligence of the French before going to Toledo to hear the wisest philosophers in the world. The Moors translated complete.Greek knowledge some 400 years prior, and now under Christian rule Toledo was passing on that knowledge to all of Europe who were flocking there by the hundreds. Christians, Jews and Muslims began translating manuscripts that had been stored there which included the writings of Plato, Aristotle, Euclid and acclaimed Arab mathematicians, astronomers, and alchemists. A resource like no other in all of Europe. It was intellectual dynamite.
26. She speaks to a woman in Toledo named Maria Angeles Gallego of SOAS, London who describes the process of translating the Classic Books of Muslims into Latin and many other European languages including German.
        a. This is how new words were introduced to the English language.
        b. Algorithm is named after an Arab mathematician
        c. Algebra is from the Arabic word Al Jabbar
        d. The Muslims also brought the decimal or changed the numeric system from Roman numerals to 1-10 or the Arabic numeric system. This developed mathematics and complex construction projects.
        e. Cathedral builders began using the Arabic numerical system about 1200 AD when Salisbury Cathedral was built in England. Archeologists made the discovery while renovating the roof... noticed upon the structural timbers were the Arabic numeral system.
        f. Oxford University was founded on the knowledge that was pouring out of Toledo. Universities in Paris and Bologna did the same.
        g. A compatriot of Daniel of Morely named, Adulla Abbas published a volume upon returning from Toledo (at 1:23:00) in which he credits the Arabs for teaching him rational inquiry and to lead by reason. He said he would detract nothing from God, but very carefully listen to the limits of human knowledge. Only where this utterly breaks down should we refer things to God.
        h. "The Muslims had developed a massive program of translations from Greek into Arabic everything that had reached them. And it was something that was promoted by the whole society. And the result of this is that they translated practically all Greek knowledge. There is the first period in which they translated and they learned. They assimilate. Later they had learned enough and they begin to produce original works. By themselves. And to criticize Greek science (this is the filtration system that filters out the errors.). One cannot say that the Arabs were mere trasmitters of Greek science. They were the people that continued the work of the Greek scientists. Until they led all this research into a final crisis. And this final crisis was the crisis that brought the Renaissance and the scientific revolution. If they had not done this Renaissance and the scientific revolution would have been impossible." - Julio Samso of University of Barcelona at 1:24:00
        i. Western intellect was transformed. It would take time for the Europeans to assimilate the knowledge.
           i. The works of Aristotle were taught in the new Universities.
ii. The Medical Treatises of Avicenna were used in hospitals.
iii. Arabic translations of Greek geometry and those new Arabic numerals were passed on to Craftsmen and architects..
iv. This was a critical stage in the growth of Western thought. At 1:25:46
           v. The Renaissance should not be viewed simply as a rebirth, but a continuation of an intellectual movement that had been nourished centuries earlier by Muslims.
vi. We have been suffering from extremely selective history writing. It is due to the conflict (at that time and carried forward) that existed between the two worlds.
vii. By 1250 AD only Granada Spain was still Muslim held from the seizes by Christian Spain. Spain began to concentrate on cleaning the Muslim presence from Spain.
viii. Islamic Spain had built a culture that was the very pinnacle of civilized life in the West. Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand wanted to insure that Islam would never enjoy such a relationship again.
ix. 1609 AD they began expelling the Muslims from Granada in southern Spain. They were just as much Iberian or Spanish by DNA as their countrymen from the north of Spain that were expelling them. Over 250,000 Muslims were expelled from Spain into North Africa.
[Judaism, Christianity and Islam prior to is said to have co-existed peacefully in Cordoba.]
